The Future of Cannabis

Some merchants, like Edible Calm, could be selling cannabidiol dirt cheap

Thanks to new legislation legalizing hemp-derived cannabis without THC, cannabidiol has become immensely popular over the last 12 to 18 months, and cannabinoid sales have increased significantly. It's predicted that between 2021 and 2028, the global cannabis market will expand at a compound annual growth rate of 21.2%.

The health benefits of hemp extract or cannabidiol have been heralded by many sources. The conditions for which the best evidence of cannabinoids' effectiveness exists include insomnia, anxiety, severe forms of epilepsy, and pain, but cannabinoids may have a role in helping other disorders like dyslexia, and some aspects of Parkinson's disease.

Multiple retailers like Rite Aid, CVS Health, and Walgreens are offering cannabidiol-based products. In addition, CVS Health sell cannabidiol topicals throughout its 800 stores.

The hemp segment of the cannabis industry took the largest revenue share of 59.6% in 2020, suggesting that people are more interested in relief for physical and mental conditions than getting high. Many have jumped onto the cannabidiol bandwagon and major companies like Charlotte's Web and

Joy Organics, with which Edible Calm is affiliated, have emerged at the top of the market with products like oils, tinctures, concentrates, gummies, coffee, chocolate, and even lip balms and candles. None of these items come exactly cheap.

The pharmaceutical segment is expected to see the fastest growth over the next several years as cannabidiol finds its way into herbal preparations and prescription drugs. Epidiolex, used to treat some severe kinds of seizure disorder, is an example of a "serious" medicine containing cannabidiol.

The Future of Cannabidiol

The market for hemp-derived cannabidiol in 2020 is $967.2 million, and it’s expected to grow to $5.3 billion by 2025. There's also likely to be more government regulation. Many companies are making strong claims about the medical benefits of CBD without enough satisfactory research to back up them up. Whatever the case, the cannabidiol market will become more competitive because it has already shown itself to be very lucrative. Literally thousands of companies are fighting for the spotlight. The cannabis market is tough and it's not going to get any easier.

The Future of Edible Calm

A small company like Edible Calm is unlikely to be able to sustain itself against the giants in the industry. Edible Calm will seek to liquidate its stock of CBD oil, gummies, and water-soluble Soft Gels. In common parlance, "everything must go." All products in the Edible Calm shop are now priced indefinitely at $9.99. Compare it to one of the big-name brands. The purity of Edible Calm products is well-established and guaranteed, as is the parent company, Joy Organics. In order to be seen and noticed, a cannabidiol company must have the wherewithal for marketing, shipping, and all the costs that come with the business.
